A native of Spokane, Wash., Astronaut Michael Anderson gave his life doing what he dreamed of since he was a small boy — exploring space. He perished along with six other heroes in the Columbia shuttle tragedy on Feb. 1, 2003. Michael deeply valued his family, his faith and education for all, and he exemplified this in the way he lived everyday.
His dream was for children to know and value family, to participate fully in their education — particularly in science and math — and to persevere to achieve their goals.
Together we can keep Michael Anderson's dreams alive by funding a scholarship in memorial to him and his life.
